Deep Ruby with aromas of fresh berry fruits, floral and slight spicy notes. Blend of 90% Sangiovese with the rest Canaiolo and Colorino, aged 24 months in oak. Fruit comes primarily from a 2.5 hectare parcel of vines planted in 1982 on a south – southeast facing slope. On the palate cherry and black raspberry flavors, adding lovely floral notes, well balanced with acidity and fine tannins. The finish is long ending with slight earthy smoky minerality. Very Nice!!

Poured into a decanter about two hours before service; no formal notes. The 2018 Montevertine is a bit of a show-off with bright, flashy ripened cherries, porchini, red flowers, dusty earth and orange peel. Significant structure should allow for a hearty life. The finish is full of class. This has to be the aspiration of every Chianti Classico.

Delicate with a backbone of sour cherry and balsamic from start to finish. Dusty tannins and Starting to just develop secondary character

Effortless cherry and damp earth. Screams for chicken. Thank god chicken was on hand.

Great structure and manages to provide physiological ripe tannins at fairly low Brix. Juicy acidity creates a slender drinking experience. Through 2025+

One of the very few Tuscans I reliably enjoy...love the high toned, exuberant cherry and hibiscus tinged with fresh herbs. A fresh, aromatic and lively take on Sangiovese. A “Super Tuscan” that is actually worthy of the title. Maybe I should give the rest of the region more of a chance...*thinks*...naahhhh
