Popped and poured. The 2014 Montevertine is a little shy at first but with a little air, the quality becomes undeniable. Still developing, this is a beautiful and elegant expression from Radda with notes of Bing cherry, leather, red flowers, dried herbs, ferrous minerals and subtle spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes on the nose. The finish is long and gives the impression that you’re drinking something special. While this is showing well now, this will drink very well through 2030 and likely beyond.

A bit long in the tooth, but absolutely delicious fruit nonetheless.

Not the best showing. Candied red fruit, leather, herbs. Consumed over seven hours and towards the back of its life.

Still bright acidic and lively with fabulous mid palate fruit 'n ' herb balance. One of the most elegant Sangiovese I have had a some time.

Another youthful Tuscan gem. This is a great example of what a good vineyard can do with a great vtge. One of my favorite universal vintages is 1985. Lots of fruit good acid rich layers. Need to drink my last bottle soon
