Peppery, sour cherry, a hint of plum and leather. A nice bitter touch. A bit dilute and one dimensional but a decent food wine.

Black cherries, black raspberries, graphite, cedar, dried tobacco, orange rind. Excellent acid/mild velvet tannins, medium bodied, herbal, smoky slightly bitter finish.

A favorite of Asimov from the NYT. Yes some sour cherries tea leaves etc. but at least today disappointing. Other vintages of this wine blew me a way this one is dull. Perhaps closed? I will review this over the next 2 days may be I had a bad day? If it does not change that's it a low rating!
