Very pleasant. The comeback from Montebruno? I believe it might be a different vineyard than earlier year. A pinot with more extraction than usual but still super smooth and pleasant. Definitely amazing value compared to others from the area. Quite delicious!

2013. Quite ripe fruit for only 12.5%. Very berry and a smidge spiced. Pleasant but not terribly complex.

My first experience with this producer, a beautiful, structured wine.

Stewed black fruits and leather. Pop of acid in the front but smooth to finish. Needed some time to breathe.

Integrated VA. Joe was like “Do you like VA?” I responded “Sure, if it’s integrated..” (I dont like that in my own wines but it’s like going to dinner at someone’s house). Naturally i taste shortly thereafter. It’s good. A light bodied PN that is beautiful with a little ugly. I can’t like a perfect all the time but this has soul.
