Decanted 90 min. Starting to fade. Does have a long, tannic finish. Dark berries, cherry, tar, and tobacco. Not as much depth as one would expect from Nebbiolo.

Let it decant for an hour. Full of dark fruits with a balanced amount of vanilla. Long lasting. Could have more layers.

Solid #nebbiolo #barbaresco pours lighter but drinks richer than it looks. This 2005 clearly loves to open up after an hour with balanced acidity that blends nicely with some soft, pleasantly lingering tannins. It's not quite a Barolo, but a nice Italian nonetheless.
