Disappointing. Have had this wine before and it excelled for the vintage but this bottle was sort of tame. Had I known I’d have def sold it instead of popping the cork.

This was a relatively controversial bottle. One thought it was tainted, a couple others thought it was just youthful and tight. I enjoyed it—fleshy, soy infused, balanced and full of sweet red fruit—but, admittedly, it doesn’t have the verve of the ‘02 I had earlier this year. But still an excellent wine.

Magnum, opened under Coravin, showing a little blunt the first day, but after a couple of days there was a great expression of dark/red berry fruit showing through, drinks so much different to the 750ml, as it looks so much more powerful right now.

A complicated wine. Way too young in my opinion and that made it hard to gage. Stemmy and tannic and deep and dark. Would like to try again in 15-20 years...

Light ruby core and quite light edges , not garnet yet however. More red fruits than black, slightly cool, spicy aromas . Quite sweet fruit nicely balanced by the acidity . Velvety tannins, though still quite grippy. Nice length . A complete wine considering the limitations of the vintage . Drinkable now though will age well I suspect, will be even better in 5 years .
