Deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits and earthy spice notes, a blend of Merlot, Cab Sauv, Sangiovese & Syrah. On the palate flavors of blackcherry and blackberry with smoky earthy notes, lively acidity with good balance. Full body with grippy tannins ending with elegant earthy character.

Dec 5th, 2019Really good Bolgheri, great value. Refined and nicely arrayed palate of cocoa, chocolates and dark red fruit. The Syrah adds some oomph and structure. A yummy candied cherry quality and grippy tannins suggest additional cellar time could be rewarded.

Past peak, but healthy. Lost a bit of body and colour. A tad sour, but only a tad. Otherwise a great expression of a 13 year old wine. Tannins dissolved into a chalky dust. Preserved prunes and port. Some definite earthiness too.

The wine opens up nicely as it breathes. An enjoyable Cabernet, Merlot, Sangiovese blend.
