This beautiful wine we had is the 2015 Michele Chiarlo Cerequio Barolo. 100% Nebbiolo from the Piedmont region of Italy.

On the nose is lovely notes of cherry, cranberry, raspberry, roses, mint, eucalyptus, anise, spoce and dry earth.

On the palate is cherry, cranberry, strawberry, anise, eucalyptus, spice, leather and dusty soil.

This is a full bodied wine with a plush fresh mouthfeel medium+ acidity and medium+ fine grippy tannins that seamlessly moves to a long red fruit dusty finish. I hope everyone's weekend was eventful and enjoyable. Let's have a wonderful week ahead and remember please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Dark Ruby with aromas of black fruits and complex notes of spice, herb and earth. It was a cooler season in 2010, resulting in higher acidity that made this wine big and needed a lot more time in the bottle, than the last time I tried in order to soften the massive tannin structure. On the palate plum and blackberry flavors with some nutty notes, wet stone and earthy herbs show harmoniously on the palate. Full body, fine tannins with a deep rich long finish. A Gem! Tasting well now!

Founded in 1956 by Michele and Giuseppina Chiarlo. Son of over 7 generations of wine growers, and a leading figure in Piedmont viticultural industry. Aromas of fresh sweet dark berry fruits & minty herb notes. Cherry, plum and minty flavors, some licorice, cola and cacao, well balanced with defined tannins. Complex lingering finish ending with nice earthy notes. Still has years to run.
