Ruby with aromas of fresh dark berry fruits & herb notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, red plum and raspberry, some licorice and cacao, well balanced with young chewy tannins, fresh lively acidity. Complex long finish ending with nice round earthy notes. Enjoyable now but needs more time, try in 5 years. I have another bottle in the cellar.

Although 2009 was not Barolo's best, this was fairly disappointing for MC Cannubi. Tried a second bottle with no improvement. I'd look for other vintages.

A bit on the "New School" side of Baroli wine making...which isn't such a bad thing. User friendly. Opened for what should be my last client thank you of 2013. ...
