I actually love German Pinot Noir, but this for whatever reason was a little bit over extracted. And a little bit tight. I didn’t like it so much. It was nice but not excellent. #spätburgunder #german #pinotnoir

Wow! German red, never would have thought it but this is fantastic.

"Herb mountain." From the middle Ahr, with a higher proportion of clay, giving this the most body. This probably has the broadest appeal of Meyer-Nakel's GG wines

Loads of exotic spices, some floral notes, dried herbs & tomato sauce with black cherries. A very interesting nose. Loads of exotic spices, with some black cherries, medium acidity, lots of minerals, some grippy tannins, pronounced alcohol & some oak on the finish. Slightly disjointed at this moment. Needs time to come together in the cellar. Will finish the rest tomorrow. 2nd day was pure bliss!
