Silver Unoaked Monterey County Chardonnay

Clear straw color, peach and lemons on the nose. Crips and as a Chardonnay should be - not hiding behind oak and butter.

We love the unoaked chards...

Very exotic nose of pineapples, melons and freshly pressed linen. The palette is extravagant with melons and citrus oil. It has a heavy mouthfeel and finishes taught. Great value for money...

We loved this. Bright, cheerful, steely and zesty chard. The Wagners have breathed life back into this after the 2k11 and 2k12 vintages, which frankly returned the "404" error (page not found).

This was an okay wine, it had vibrant stone fruits and bright acid. It could have used some oak because it seemed a little lean. It also seemed slightly oxidized with honey notes.

Kept meaning to try this but it was more expensive than the typical chardonnay so I waited until it was on sale. It was ok but not great so I'd say not worth the money. Crisp and fruity but still a bit too buttery for the unoaked variety.

Drank it in late December, kept forgetting to save it. Laura really liked it, but I thought it was meh.
