2011 vintage. Disappointing given the 92 points advertised. Would not buy again

Malbec was something I was into over 5 years ago but now it seems I'm finding more that I really like. A little earthy on the end pretty but mostly berry and warmth all around. This was drastically marked down from the original price. I hear it was around $80 and now it's $22 but at that price it's on point, kind of a steal. Bonus smile points for that!

2 people found it helpfulApr 11th, 2014This Malbec notes that Parker offered this it a 92 rating. It is actually part of the label. I promise those wishing to try this wine that they will meet with heavy tannins, which will not abate for years; but in any event, this Malbec is not (and will never evolve into) a superior wine. 2010 year. Paid 17.00

2010: One trick pony right now - but should improve with time - cab like qualities

Jul 29th, 2015Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of blueberries, chocolate and coffee. Blueberry fruit flavors are complimented by hints of Asian spices, dark chocolate, figs, plums and black cherries. Slight note of blood/iodine on the long lasting finish. Medium bodied, solid balance and silky tannins. Thanks for sharing, Matt A.

May 12th, 2025A very pleasant Malbec that went awesome with some properly marinated beef. Excellent balance with a mildly spicy meal!
