Traditional, though lighter nose of floral notes, some cherry and light tart scents. Red cherry on the palate with firm drying tannins and earthy notes. Long finish. Will likely improve with a few years in bottle.

2011 vintage. Roses, truffle, raspberry, vanilla, scented powder on the nose. The palate added licorice, coffee and chocolate mint with added intensity. Big and tannic wine that definitely needs more time in bottle. Delicious and lingering finish.

Decanted for 60 minutes. Really opened up nicely, the aromas blossomed and are so enticing. This is a traditional old school style barolo. Very good.
