Fruit sourced from three young, cool vineyards, Arborina and Gattera in La Morra and Castelletto in Monforte d'Alba, Ruby red with a bouquet of dark fruit, spices, leather and licorice. On the palate flavors of sour black cherry and plum with notes of pepper, smoky tobacco, vanilla and oak. Long finish, nice balance with fine drying tannins, savory edges, ending with earthy mineral notes. Good now!

Drank 8/23/18 at a tasting event. Tasting pour.
Traditional, though lighter nose of floral notes, some cherry and light tart scents. Red cherry on the palate with firm drying tannins and earthy notes. Long finish. Will likely improve with a few years in bottle.

2011 vintage. Roses, truffle, raspberry, vanilla, scented powder on the nose. The palate added licorice, coffee and chocolate mint with added intensity. Big and tannic wine that definitely needs more time in bottle. Delicious and lingering finish.

Very fruity with a light/medium mouthfeel. Very fresh fruity flavor without tasting young. Excellent - anyone would enjoy this

2017. Burgundy color, but not overly dark. Medium body with rich smokey palette and dark fruit flavors. Medium tannin and persistence. Overall, this was very enjoyable.
