On the nose grapefruits,
grass, citrus, lemons, green apples and bitter herbs.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs. Crisp and refreshing.
Dry on the palate with grapefruits, limes, lemons, green apples, bitter herbs, spices and white pepper.
Medium finish with bitter almonds.
This Marlborough sauvignon blanc is refreshing and crisp with mouthwatering acidity and a nice finish. Very much like a spicy grapefruit juice on the nose and palate. Better than their Rosé, though.
Needs to be very chilled. I paired it with cheeses, dried fruits and nuts.
13% alcohol by volume.
85 points.
$13.

Fresh and zesty with the notable high acidity common in New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc's. On the nose lemon zest, peach & pineapple come through. The pallate is a bit more muted due to high acidity, but the fruit carries over and is joined by hints of fresh grass. Paired well with salmon en papillote and our first balcony dinner of the spring. The color changing snowflake on the label is an interesting bonus as well! ❄️ ($9) [4/23/19]
