Toscana Merlot

Gorgeous plummy open fruit with lifted bright white notes. The most merlot-like off the four.

Really enjoyed this one, excellent wine.

I love this wine because it is so varietally correct. Plush fruit, bell pepper, earth and some oak for accent

Ripe and oaky but still plenty of acid

Leather oil, blackberry, and dank spice. Tannins are velvety, dense, fine. Pretty long hang time

+1 hour decant(lots of sediment). A gorgeous dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: very aeromatic nose of dark cherry, black olives, tobacco, toasty oak, eucalyptus, roasted meat, milk chocolate. Taste: deep, rich, silky, creamy wine with dark plum, bitter coffee grounds, earth, licorice, new leather, graphite, dried herbs, pepper, and a medium plus finish. YUM!

Soft blue and purple fruit, soft tannins, gentle red pepper and light black pepper. Medium bodied. Excellent wine. Lovely color

Smooth, leather … dark fruits … bringing back memories…

Green pepper in the nose and mouth. Not worth the heavy price tag.
