Serego Alghieri Vaio Armaron Amarone della Valpolicella Corvina Blend

Fresh at 9 years old. An achievement. Had a few years in it still, which tells me it’s a superior quality. Fun, fruity, electric.

A lovely nose of deep currant black tea.

Currant carries on, with multi layers of dark chocolate, oil cured olives, Black tea, prune.
This is heavier than most, and more to the traditional bitter, than sweet.
I Decant any Amarone for at least 6 hours, and this certainly needs it.
Finishes with singing acidity/good tannin integration.

Always a great Amarone with a rich, velvety body and bold fruit, with a touch of earthiness.

Hot damn one of the best Amarones I've ever been lucky enough to drink

Traditional style, more oxidized

A bit over the hill, round tannins, sensuous and memorable

Deep ruby color.
Aromas of red/dark fruit, cherry plum, cinnamon, clove.
Dry. Flavors of dark cherry, chocolate, cinnamon, gingerbread, clove, peppercorn, vanilla. Delicious!

Excellente’. This wine is truly delicious. Fantastic aroma and taste. Dark ruby color with bLack currant, rose, tobacco, and earthiness on the nose. Rich and voluptuous with additional cherry and spice notes. Aged quite nicely.

Confit sherry, was worth waiting
