A perfect pairing with tonight's sausage pizza and lasagna. Took me a minute to figure out who makes this wine, as the producer's name is in the smallest print. Dusty cherries, plums, leather, basil, tea leaves at the end. Fair acidity and a very soft mouthfeel make this chianti a winner.

Vintage 2012. Bought at sg airport. Opened 3rd july 2018. Aired 30mins. Heavy legs. Reddish purple. Tinge of sweet and caramelised nose, leatherly peppery. Medium acidity to palate, followed by very light sweetness, then spices, followed by caramel sweet and light bitterness. Flavourful. Medium smooth tannin. Serego Alighieri- Vaio Armaron - 2013- amarone classico. Deep ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, cheeey liquor, florals, perfume. On the palate, cherry, blackberry, vanilla, with chocolate/cocoa powder in the finish. After the cheese pairing, extremely long finish of chocolate covered black cherry liquor. — 5 years ago
