Rod Cabernet Sauvignon

Good first taste. Not as smooth settling, but still nice. Brilliant and sophisticated name!

Ripe red fruit throughout. Nice silky tannins. Was best after a few hours. Great value.

Deep purple color. Violet and dark fruit on the nose. Sorta falls flat on taste. Hint of black fruit and cassis. Light flavors.

I have only hated something in my mouth as much as this. And his name was also Rod.

Medium bodied, good balance of fruit and earth. Firm, agreeable tannins. Black cherry, raspberry, but low acid, almost stewed. Great value. Want to try other varietals from this winemaker.

Pleasant everyday drinker here. Decent red fruit, enough tannin, fairly clean finish. Solid if not particularly spectacular.

On the buy again list

2014. Was highly recommended... and enjoyed it. I'm still learning though.

Great with tequila lime grilled chicken thighs

This one is a Cab, but not sure why it says Malbec here. Anyway, got it yesterday for its name. Opened for the dinner today. The sulfur smell is distinguishable. The first sip tasted it a young wine, but not bad. It tasted better after waking it a while: some mixed berry and plum tasting.
