Gran Mascota Mendoza Cabernet Sauvignon

Ostensibly made from fruit but buried under 18 months of the most aggressive and astringent French oak as to unrecognizable as such. Fruit thin, watery, and a bit green, with a firm burnt caramel/burnt anise-laced tannin grip. Alcohol is present throughout. I do not like to be so negative but this is not good.

Rich, decadent, delicious. Big backbone and a balance not typically found with this much fruit. Love it as always.

Cor escura, mas já com tons de vermelho menos intenso. As lágrimas são densas. No aroma o álcool é bem intenso, chega a roubar os aromas, sendo percebido também a acidez. Na boca é um vinho equilibrado entre os taninos e a acidez. É perceptível tons de couro e frutas bem maduras. O rastro residual é bem prolongado e com boa sensação.

High acidity and fruity sweetness (cassis). Some vanilla and pepper. Very good. Excellent value for money.

Another great Cab from Argentina that flies under the radar. Try it you’ll like it.

At home. Bought at Costco Cabo and brought back to CA. Wasn’t impressed.

Another Cabo Costco find for about $10.50. I think this is the most value oriented wine that I have found this year.
