The 2021 Pinot Noir Hyland Vineyard impresses with its bouquet of autumnal spices, cocoa, cola and dried florals. It's seductively textural with soothing silken red berries and rosy inner florals swirling over a core of juicy acidity, lifted by sour citrus hints. This finishes long and spicy with a lingering pleasurably bitter tinge and slowly fading touches of tart cranberry. 10-15% whole cluster fruit. Wow. (Eric Guido, Vinous, January 2024)

Nose has a lovely herbal edge that is so engaging. Cranberry bog, early season cherries, spice and earth. Very high toned. Baking spices. Juicy and engaging. Balanced and pure. Super creamy palate with lovely intense acid and such refined tannins. Long and juicy with a Volnay like finesse.

Stunning aroma. Sweet and spicey red cherries. Strawberry. Blackberry. Deep penetrating aromas with world class clarity. Spice cake. Angel food cake. Elite bubble gum. Herbs. So complex and expansive. Palate is awesome. Concentrated and super complex with terrific purity and freshness. The freshness and energy here are top top notch. Awesome velvety tannins and juicy, tart cherry fruit with just huge volume and density but so fine and refined. Massive tiny berry fruit intensity builds on the finish. Really light color like a Bertheau Chambolle. Nose has deep Xmas spice on the second pour. Gorgeous and so so deep. Decadent sweetness and so compact and fresh but finishes with that tart tiny berry fruit intensity and almost a hit of cherry gumdrop. Just so pure. A genius wine.

This nose is insane. Deep, sappy cherry fruit, spice, mint, so so aromatic, what a wonderful transparency, tree bark, some wet earth, just so layered and expressive. 1er Cru burg level. Big structure, big sweetness and perfectly ripe fruit and superb structure. Wow. Sappy and dense. I cannot stop smelling these wines. What spice. Hint of clove and cinnamon. Exquisite concentration and purity. Just explosive. Too young but god damn this is epic. What a wine.

Very elegant. 13.4%. Made with care. Definitely a lot of ambition there. This is a little bit too fruit driven for me. More Oregon than Burgh. Might be the vintage. Perhaps this needs more age. Subdued cherry, hint strawberry, …touch muscat.

Failed to snap a pic, so this one added via search option. Purchased at HiFi Wine Bar (owned by winemaker Evan Martin), and consumed that evening with MS and her friend in McMinnville. No notes, but this was quite good,

Some pretty oak on the nose. Roses.

Palate is elegant cherry fruit. Really elegant. Great texture. Some hint of cherry licorice. Lovely sweet fruit.

As this opens it’s losing some verve. Interesting though. There is an impactful precision. Balancing bitterness.
