Love this wine. Nose is a bit reduced and sulfury but that will blow off as I’ve had this bottle before. So JD on the nose for now. Palate is so bright and elegant with pitch perfect fruit and density. So clean and mineral. Wonderful minerality, brightness, texture and length. So compact. Super mineral and not at all like Austrian GV. Such nice acids and freshness. This is terrific. Almost tannic on the finish but in a white wine kind of way. Long. I’ll be back for the nose.

On day 2 the nose is so good. Candied lemons, white pepper, vegetables, just sick. Palate is focused, rich, clean and mineral. Salty and long 9.2 to 9.3 overnight.

@Delectable Wine this Gruner. My first ever domestic Gruner. Nose has the fat that gruner is known for and all types of veggies and herbals. Lemon. Loads of lemon. Some underarm. Love this nose. Oh this is so good. Mineral yet rich and vibrant with superb minerality and freshness. Textured, deep and so so structured and balanced. Salty and English peas on the finish. So so complex and long. Loads of tree bark and slightly savory but more woodsy aromas on the nose after air. Clean as a whistle. I like this so much and prefer over many Austrian GV’s. As this airs out it gets more dank, like wet puddles in vineyards, but confectionary. Wow such depth of flavor. Gets to every nook and cranny.

So pretty from so many angles. I love the reflections of green on yellow coming together like Chartreuse. I love the subtle complex aromas playing hide and seek with no logic or rhythm. Freshly shaved orange zest, thyme, jasmine flower and pressed wheatgrass. I love flavors of pepper dusted yellow apples, a squirt of lemon and acidic finish that doesn't give. 100% agreeable, not without an aspect of mystery.
