Held on to this for a few years and enjoyed yesterday with a couple unique meals. First off, nose was modest dark berries with dark cherry as well, mushroom, some green pepper, and slight must/earth tone. Flavors were smoothed together and the finish was medium. Now to the food - has home made “sloppy joe” that helped accent some of the vegetable qualities and slight cherry. Then had some with an meat, mushroom and pepper omelet - paired even better with that.

May 4th, 2020Drank this on Easter 2018 with lamb chops and veggies. The wine still had lots of flavor and tannins could be smoothed a little more. Notes - cassis, blackberry, and plum. Spicy and long lasting flavors.
