Held on to this for a few years and enjoyed yesterday with a couple unique meals. First off, nose was modest dark berries with dark cherry as well, mushroom, some green pepper, and slight must/earth tone. Flavors were smoothed together and the finish was medium. Now to the food - has home made “sloppy joe” that helped accent some of the vegetable qualities and slight cherry. Then had some with an meat, mushroom and pepper omelet - paired even better with that.

Drank this on Easter 2018 with lamb chops and veggies. The wine still had lots of flavor and tannins could be smoothed a little more. Notes - cassis, blackberry, and plum. Spicy and long lasting flavors.

Nose heavy with pepper, spice, hints of vanilla, cherry and anis. The same tastes abound on the palate. Purchased from the miramar wine club.
