Maria Casanovas Cava Brut Nature Gran Reserva 2002, disgorged 10/2008.
Medium gold. Aromas of dried yellow/golden fruits; apricot, mango; coconut, petrol, lime zest...complex. Mousse is moderate, a bit attenuated in glass but still lively and fine in the mouth. Flavors seem less steely than expected, given zero dosage here, likely due to slow oxidation in bottle.
Should be great with roasted salmon with zucchini (courgette), tomatoes and corn.

Oct 11th, 20182004 vintage in the neck label with an indicated L-09/2007 disgorging date also listed. This is beginning to feel its age. Medium gold with the least bit of tan. Vibrant mousse. Nose shows plenty of oxidative, dried fruit, nutty aromas but lacks a bit of the fat and cream notes more typically found in long aged sparkling wines (probably also due to the fact that this is zero dosage). Drink up.
