For 26 generations, the Mazzei family has been producing Italian wines from their historic Castello di Fonterutoli estate in Tuscany, as well as in Maremma, Sicily and the Veneto. A blend of 70% Sangiovese & 30% Merlot, deep Ruby with aromas of red berry fruits and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with cacao and pepper spice. Delicious and rich aromas. A little more fruit than structure. Easy drinking and very pleasing. Got as a gift from MC Will need to look for it or order when I’m there next.
