Clear, Medium plus garnet with purple highlights. Clean, well-defined plum, black cherry, leather and a bit of tar framed with medium plus acidity and medium tannins. Lovely floral touches, a pretry wine that is still compact. It will be charming if and when it opens up.

A little overwrought for Chianti. Too bad, I was fired up to have this old vine field blend with pork and risotto! The 14.5 alcohol showed more than any galestro intrigue or bright Sangiovese fruit. We didn't finish it, which is rare around here.
