Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

This 2015 fruit has past it’s peak. Still enjoyable but drink these if you have them.

It’s fantastic right now.

I can only imagine in another decade.

✔️ 시작부터 굉장히 복합적인 향의 레이어가 느껴짐
✔️ 잔 주위로 풍부하게 퍼지는 체리•블랙베리•레드베리 향
✔️ 오픈하자마자 얼씨한 미네랄리티가 바로 느껴지고, 풍부한 오크•가죽 향도 좋았음
✔️ 1시간 병 브리딩 한 후에 마셨는데도 1.5시간까지 덜 풀린 타닌이 이 사이에 꽤 남고, 산미도 덜 올라와서 더 열려야겠다 싶었음
✔️ 2시간 후부터 타닌이 풀리면서 벨벳같은 질감이 느껴지고, 발사믹 피니쉬도 특히 매력적이었음
다음엔 마시기 두 시간 전에 오픈해야지

Very very good. For our anniversary!

A lovely, smooth, well balanced wine with fruity black currant and raspberry notes. Very elegant with fine tannins and some leather notes as well. Paired nicely with Italian sausage, fennel and rigatoni.

The wine recently got a 100 point from JS if I remembered correctly. BDM usually best after a few hours (3+) decant. Tbh Maybe it was too early to open it
