Ruby hue with medium-high saturation. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, cheese, cherry, coffee, hay, leather, oak, plum, smoke, tar, vanilla, and violet. Medium-full body; full (yet supple) tannins; and medium-high acidity. An engaging, rustic nose with an elegant, medium-long finish. An approachable SuperTuscan (itself a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, and Syrah) from one of the oldest winemaking families.

Excellent for $12.99 bottle of wine. Tastes like something much more expensive. Very smooth and drinkable with earthy, chocolately overtones and a balancing fruitiness. Went well with homemade lasagna dinner to celebrate a birthday.

Moderate fruit forward, medium tannins, slight chalk flavor coupled with earth tones, and overall, very enjoyable.

Think I got the right wine here. Not bad.

Slightly lighter body. Easy drinking. A touch of pepper aftertaste. Overall I’d buy it again.

Dark ruby coloration. Light body. On the nose, cherries, plum, tobacco, herbs and spices. On the palate, currant, plum, balanced tannins, cedar and then a second finish of red berries, raspberries. At $19.99 a good value wine.
