Wood, spice, smoky mushrooms. Med+ acid. Vanilla that clearly says barrique without screaming it. Red fruit. Firm tannins.

Drank 9/3/18. Great pairing with Rigatoni Bolognese, although this seems like it would pair with a wide mix of foods

Nose of red and black cherries, mixed with some plum and cocoa notes. Palate of juicy red cherry, raspberry. Some leather and cocoa powder. Excellent balance with medium, well integrated tannins. Juicy red fruits on the finish that lasts 30 seconds or so.

3/22/8/5/3 +50= 91 pts.

Not bad. Not a great wine, but for $19, a good value. Some off flavors, but the wine has a nice fruitiness and goes well with pizza.

Hint of fruitiness and lightness, but smooth, round finish.

Little oak on nose. Appropriate amount of fruit (raspberry?) Peppery finish.

Blackberry, black cherry, and some plum, with black pepper, leather, wood, and earth. Moderate acidity, light to moderate tannins. Coffee grounds too? Pretty good, though something seemed a little funky.
