Tonight I am enjoying the 2018 Maison L'Envoyé Two Messengers Pinot Noir. This wine is from Dundee, Oregon of the Willamette Valley.

On the nose there is cherry, cranberry, strawberry, vanilla, clove, herbs, spice and with a barnyard funk.

Onnthe palate there is cherry, strawberry, cranberry, clove, vanilla, spice and a nice earthy component.

This wine is medium bodied witha sooth mouthfeel medium acidity and medium fine tannins that leave you with a medium + to long red fruit woody earthy finish. Happy New Year to everyone and I wish each and every one ofe you a healthy, sFe and prosperous 2022. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

These are night 2 notes. (I thought I entered notes on Night 1, but they weren’t there, so Night 2 it is. And that’s a bonus for this wine because it’s better on Night 2.)

Nose is gorgeous, with sweet, sultry cherry ooze, Graham cracker, some moist humus, and a dark florality. Very soft and enveloping in the mouth, great fruit on entry, good mid-palate density and ripeness, and a long finish that tails into savory territory. Really fine value.

What an odd wine!
This reminds me more of a South American wine than an Oregonian wine, for sure.
Some saline, medium bodied, barnyard, menthol, juice. Blind tasted - more of a merlot that a Pinot. It works, yet does not impress.

Producer I haven't had before. Ex-Evening Land winemaker I'm told.

Excellent right out of the bottle before I began a wine reduction sauce for Budapest duck breasts Impressive Pinot noir selection from Garsgiste.

Smoky black cherry notes dominate a nose that also contains some red fruits. Zippy acid is great but not quite world class. This is a solid bottle of wine and reasonably priced for quality, but 91-92 points I don't see. Fruit is a little one dimensional and slightly too forward to merit that high a rating.

This has been a rock solid pull when I want a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Well made, true form, fair price, great packaging. This is the 2013. L
