Domaine Long-Depaquit Les Vaillons Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Chalky. Lovely balance. Soft acidity.

Clear with subtle tints of sea green. Muted nose. Tight body. Puckery lemon. Mouth coating acids. Great structural punch on the back end.

2012 vintage

Now this is my kind of Chardonnay! Light silvery/gold color. Aromas and flavors of pear, wet slate and green apple. Hints of dried herbs and roasted nuts. High level of minerals on the long finish. Crisp acidity and exceptional brightness. Lively and fresh. A pleasure to drink. Thanks for sharing, Chris B!

Second time scoring this wine. Good purity of fruit and freshness. No reduction, just wide open delicate fruit. Quite light. Reserved and wonky at first. My last glass on day two was the best.

Pure, clean, and balanced. Should probably cellar for another year or two but going to be tough to keep my hands off it.

straw yellow/somewhat muted nose, lime, chalk/very focused, chalky minerality, nice acid/vinified and aged only 10% in barrel with the rest in tank

Nariz: limon amarillo, piedra mojada.

Boca: en boca se siente un toque de madera ademas del los otros aromas. Acidez mediana, pero redondo. Buen balance. Burn finish. Buen valor. (Mendez)
