Similar notes to 48 weeks ago with a little more fullness. Still pale lemon in colour. More stone fruit than citrus with white peach, nectarine. I was expecting a more cool climate style coming from the Mornington Peninsula. As previous note - some creaminess on the palate but very fruit driven. Oak is well integrated. The first producer on the Mornington Peninsula in 1975.

Bright straw yellow in colour. The nose is rather muted for the fleshy ripe palate to follow. Quite rich with medium plus intensity for a Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay. Sweetish stone fruit flavours of peach and nectarine - some creaminess but essentially fruit driven. Oak is well integrated. Somewhat of a crowd pleaser - and very easy to drink. Main Ridge Estate was the first established winery on the Mornington Peninsula in 1975.

The right amount of oak
These should be the right balance between fruit and oak really here in Mornington
Little warm in the aftertaste
Good though

Who says Australian Chardonnay can't age ? This is a beauty. Rich complex fruit and secondary notes. Still possesses amazing acid and focus. Deep lingering flavours but not overblown or old. Brilliant

Absolutely insane! One of the best white I’ve ever had. White burg in style but has the minerality and subtle sweetness you get from Aussie Chards. Hoping to acquire more. Reminded me of the Hunter’s Offshoot I loved in London.

In the sweet spot, voluptuous mature Chardonnay at its best. Luscious front palate of balanced oak and mature fruit. Beautiful acids balance the long palate. Wonderful drinking. 2009 vintage

Pale gold, nose of green melon and hint of toast. Excellent drive through the palate, tight but expressive. Great acidity. Still young. Drink now or hold for 5 years.
