Dark garnet red. Dark berries on the nose, a bit dirty and a little oak too. Earthy on the palate with red cherries, gravel and a little steel. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium bodied. Long finish and decent acidity. Drink till 2020.

MacMurray Ranch was purchased from the Porter family by famed actor Fred MacMurray in 1941. Today the wines are crafted with care by winemaker Susan Doyle, with a gentle approach that gets the best out of Pinot Noir. Dark fruit aromas with baking spice notes. On the palate complex layered flavors of cherry, blueberry and cranberry flavors with a gentle touch of nuttiness and cedar. Firm yet supple tannins, rich with great mouthfeel on a lingering finish ending with some earthy tones. Nice!

Ripe red fruits & plum, vanilla, spice, & for me a distinct nose of buttered popcorn that burns off. Med tannin, med+ acid & alcohol. Finishes long with Med complexity. A little too ripe, but very drinkable & a good choice for $15 Russian River.

Light and easy to drink, notes of vanilla give it a smooth and sweet finish.

Tried this last week and enjoyed it while eating Steak Frites solo, at a hotel bar. Bought a bottle yesterday and had it with some pizza 🍕 delicious both times 👍🏻
