Lunarossa
Quartara Giffoni Valle Piana Colli di Salerno Fiano
Cider, citrus pith, orange peel, unripe apricot and some volatility on the nose. Nice texture on the palate with tannins suggesting gentle skin contact. Great acid and richness leading to a mineral, slightly buttery finish. A little wild and rustic.

Oct 13th, 2021This is sick. Nose is so so sick. Chestnut. Tree bark. Aged character. Leather. Floral and peach come after air. Complex and mineral. Deep, structured and so so so dry. Apricot peel. Nice finish. Amazing wine.

Feb 16th, 2020Pours like its all about the oxidation - salty, sour winey with sherry and whiskey nods, cheeses and nuts. It is for a second, but that fog burns off after a couple hours and it brightens to something different, primary, and more elegant.
Spiced ginger ale and cola, peaches, greasy leather, butterscotch candy and violets. Slippery texture.
Be generous with time and air, be very rewarded.

Amazing. Rich. Dense. Contained stone fruits. Juicy.
Rides the line between over the top and amazing. The acidity holds it together. Sort of an Italian version of a top Rhône white
Bought from fass selections.

Nose is nutty. Palate is a bit more meursaulty than the 15 which was hermitage blanc/ top st peray blanc. Some stone fruits with rocking minerals. Great salinity. Finish is like licking the rocks in a mountain stream. So intense. Wow. Serious serious serious wine. This guy is rewriting the book for Italian white wine. Fass selections import. ... floral internal aromatics coming out after 45 minutes. Almost this ethereal quality. Holy crap. And it’s still holding back a bit. On the verge of magic. ... after an hour The nuttiness becomes more pronounced. More sherry like but still bright. I prefer this at 30-45 minutes at this point. Wow! What a ride !
