Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, oak and spice. On the palate flavors of fresh fruits, cherry, raspberry and plum with cacao, vanilla, cedar and earthy herb notes. Fine dusty tannins, medium finish ending with juicy fruit, toasty oak and herb spice character. Nice, drinking well now!

New vintage of one of my house wines. Same solid flavor profile. Same great cab.

Very exciting to try the 18 vintage. Still young but just as good as all the previous years. Beautiful cab, and great value.

After at least 5 vintages of this wine, the trend is clear, Luke is an awesome wine maker producing great wines at great values on the Wahluke slope. Good amount of air needed to bring out the cassis and dark fruit. Grippy tannins, but subtle.

Trying the 15 vintage. Exciting to see it just as good as the 14. Elegant fruit, subtle hints of vanilla and cassis. And second day holds up great - silky and smooth. Rating affirmed 2/17/18 - chose this for the day my detox ends. Revisiting 9/16/18 - rating affirmed, and actually trending higher. Just a beautiful wine all around.

Ok, are we all ready for a great weekend? I think i am starting the weekend off on the right note. Tonight I have opened the 2017 Luke Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley Wahluke Slope. This is a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. For the price this wine makes a great buy.

On the nose there is cherry, raspberry, blueberry, black cherry, black currant, graphite, sweet tobacco, violet and earth.

On the palate I am getting black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, licorice, black pepper, chocolate and earth.

This is a full bodied wine that is nicely complex with medium + acidity and medium + round sandy tannins that moves wonderfully into a long clean dark fruit finish. I wish everyone a wonderful weekend ahead and please stay healthy and safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Beautiful and powerful nose. Smooth with cassis and red fruit flavors. Long finish. This is one of the best value cabs I have been able to find so far. Wahluke Slope! Even better than the previous excellent vintages.
