Ruby with aromas of fresh clean fruits and some earthy notes. Spent 22 months in stainless and oak, on the palate flavors of cherry and strawberry with spice. Fine tannins, vivid acidity, nice balance ending with oak and earthy spice.

Opening salvo in a night of delicious dinner courtesy of Howard Street Wine Merchants and Chef @Paul Kulik , the energy behind Le Bouillon. Our dinner guest was our friend John Paine from Rosenthal. Tonight was an evening of Burgundy, which outside of Chablis and Beaujolais, has always been a challenge for me. This was a delicious opener, if not an outlier. Regardless, a really tasty wine with bright red fruits of notable freshness. Not super complex but unique and always fun to drink Sancerre Rouge.

always pleasant, though the 2013 is overly ripe for his style.

Kicking le butt. Not as austere as you might imagine. Fruit has just enough sweetness. Light on its feet. Quite a delight

This is my very happy place with Pinot Noir. Not that much further north of Burgundy, the Loir produces a small amount but impressive expressions. The immediate, out-of-the-bottle nose was of angle food cake and sugary fruit candy. Then on the palate, excellent balanceof mineral, fruit and acidity. 2010 vintage.

Richer fruit and a it candied compared to burgundy but a solid expression. More akin to boutique Oregon that its french counterparts.
