Nov 26th, 2019Today was an absolutely fantastic Friday hosting at the City Club by @Dan Fitzgerald . 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine. Served blind. Great job Dan!
What made this special was the fact that the host had kept this in his cellar for almost 10 years. Very different compared to release...less citrus driven. Balances oxidative and reductive. Hardly any bubbles. Toasty, flint and nougat driven, but also honeyed and slightly caramelized.
