40 years old. Bacon and chocolate on the nose. Soy sauce on the palate with almost all the tannins having already fallen out.

Red fruits and black cherry with sweet baking spices, vanilla on the nose. Smooth structure. One dimensional but quite delicious.

Dark purplish ruby red. Notes of dark cherries and wood spices on the nose. Bright acidity and medium tannins (5.5/10). Not over the top on the palate with notes of oak, gravel, bramble berries and spices. Drink till 2024.

Honestly surprised by the bold flavors of his 2012 Cab out of a $10 bottle. Headed back the the store to but another bottle!

Pleasantly surprised by this inexpensive wine. Medium color concentration, medium-minus tannin, medium viscosity, medium intensity. Fruit aromas of dried cherry and plum. Low acid, medium alcohol, long finish with medium complexity.

You've heard the expression, "stealing candy from a baby." Well...this qualifies. The 07 is in perfect form with more years ahead. Blackberries, raspberries, blueberry syrup, black licorice, anise, herbaceous, resolved wood, earth, minerals and a dark chocolate tary quality. A steal at $10.99 from Costco. Should have bought three cases. A grand experiment gone right that we all should have cashed in on in a much bigger way!
