Louis Latour
Les Genevrières Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay
All of the grapes from the vineyards owned by the Latour family are vinified and aged in the cuverie of Château Corton Grancey in Aloxe-Corton. Aged for 10 months on French oak (50% new). Tried the '13 alongside the '11. Pale yellow woohoo s beautiful nose of fruit, biscuit and mineral notes. Stone fruit flavors, apple and pear, touch of citrus with smoky nuts and earthy tones. Lingering finish, great mouthfeel ending with lemony mineral characteristics. A Gem! Tasting Sample. Let this one age a bit!

Apr 14th, 2018While this wine had a lovely richness to it, it didn't speak as clearly to me as the other beauties in the line-up did.

May 16th, 20172011. Very nice 1er Cru Louis Latour Meursault. Mineral with good fruit on the palate. The fruit is more present at the start while the minerality builds into the finish.

Mar 26th, 2017Louis Latour Meursault-Genevrières Complex wine - Nose starts with hint of lemon followed by baked apple, hazelnuts, and chestnuts palate hits with golden apple, then perfectly balanced acidity, slight buttery tones, and a nuttiness that leaves you wanting more. A little maderized and probably couldn't have aged much longer. No idea what vintage, but estimate is ~15-18 years old(~1997-2000). Bought at Delucas on a discount due to missing back label w/vintage info
