Louis Latour
Les Chaillots Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Pinot Noir
Aged for about 10 months in oak barrels (35% new). Ruby with aromas of bright red fruit and floral spice, Pinot at its finest. On the palate, complex concentrated fruit, cherry and raspberry with oaky notes, floral and sweet herbs. Developed round tannins, nice acidity and balance ending with a touch of earthy mineral tones. Very Enjoyable! Still tasting well!

Apr 22nd, 2021Firm (though tannins are soft) and nicely structured. Ripe black fruit with notes of mushroom and loamy earth. Hint of spice, minerals and black licorice on the nice long finish. Deep garnet color.

A Wine Spectator recognized restaurant with an incredible wine list!
Extremely enjoyable. Paired so well with the locally caught salmon. Got some new world Russian River traits to this in the terms of rhubarb, raspberries, cedar bark, but I didn't get much cola, and blackberry to it. Nice acidity. Feels like it's entering a prime drinking window.

May 26th, 2022Elegant Pinot Noir with notable cherry, pomegranate, cranberry, violet, anise, black licorice, nutmeg, clove, leather, wet earth, mushroom notes.
It is complex, balanced, and has intense aromas and flavors. It is still young and has years ahead that will enhance the complexity with tertiary aromas and flavors.
