Firm (though tannins are soft) and nicely structured. Ripe black fruit with notes of mushroom and loamy earth. Hint of spice, minerals and black licorice on the nice long finish. Deep garnet color.

To celebrate our 2-yr wedding anniversary while in Alaska, we had 5-course dinner at one of the premier spots in the state, which just so happened to be at our resort (at the top of the mountain). A Wine Spectator recognized restaurant with an incredible wine list!
Extremely enjoyable. Paired so well with the locally caught salmon. Got some new world Russian River traits to this in the terms of rhubarb, raspberries, cedar bark, but I didn't get much cola, and blackberry to it. Nice acidity. Feels like it's entering a prime drinking window.

Elegant Pinot Noir with notable cherry, pomegranate, cranberry, violet, anise, black licorice, nutmeg, clove, leather, wet earth, mushroom notes.
It is complex, balanced, and has intense aromas and flavors. It is still young and has years ahead that will enhance the complexity with tertiary aromas and flavors.
