Pale golden lemon color with aromas of fresh fruit, citrus zest and nutty floral notes, very elegant. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and yeasty notes with a bit of nutty oak. Nice acidity, well balanced ending with a chalky mineral and slight smoky oak character. Enjoyable. Will age well!

Came across a 2007 Chassagne-Montrachet at my local shop. He tells me: “I sell low price because nobody has interest in it”. Knowing what these vintages go for and how well they can drink, I instantly jumped on the chance. I am proud to have found this hidden gem because this year was sensationally rich, surprisingly lower acidity than expected, and just a wonderful experience. As the wine sits on the palate, it just continues to grow and compliment itself. I instantly called the owner and had him hold the remaining 3 bottles for me. What a wine!!

The color has a surprising green hue, like hay with a hint of golden, 18k gold. The body is medium, with cream brûlée like notes, with vegetal notes and a hint of green fig and slight notes of ocean air. The palate still has beautiful acidity running throughout, with a sharp mineral tang, and notes of bread crust, candied fruit, and notes of French cut veggies at the finish, like a fresh cool breath.
