Came across a 2007 Chassagne-Montrachet at my local shop. He tells me: “I sell low price because nobody has interest in it”. Knowing what these vintages go for and how well they can drink, I instantly jumped on the chance. I am proud to have found this hidden gem because this year was sensationally rich, surprisingly lower acidity than expected, and just a wonderful experience. As the wine sits on the palate, it just continues to grow and compliment itself. I instantly called the owner and had him hold the remaining 3 bottles for me. What a wine!! — a year ago
