Cailleret Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay

Caramel, green apples, mineral. Broad and snappy at the same time.

On the slope down now. It’s still a tasty wine if you like wines with generous age, but I can definitely tell this vintage is sloping downwards...

First bottle had a trace of TCA. Second bottle was on point. Exactly what I expected. Still has a lot of time. Great bottle.

Not the biggest fan of this producer. This bottling however gives me some hope.

Utterly delicious. Some chalk at first giving way to mellow stone fruit, perhaps some slight not fully ripened pear. Long finish that ended with some citrus notes. Fantastic with poached salmon in a lemon shallot sauce. Sadly, I think this is my last bottle. 😢
