Domaine Gagey Le Clos Blanc Grèves Beaune 1er Cru Chardonnay

Now this has life left! Still bright lime, limestone, and mineral notes. Acid is fresh, digging this one!

Really liking this Greves le clos blanc! Vibrant and fruity palate! A bit short in length though!

Pale-med lemon. Really opened up with air. Some sweet citrus, and candied caramel on the nose. Med body, med intensity, a bit of cream, and strong vanilla and caramel notes from the oak. Decent but not great p/q

So good. Apple, pear, honey, vanilla, and a bit nutty with fantastic minerality and a lemon finish. Oak is present, but the wine is fresh and lively. Great white burgundy.

One of the best Jadot’s I have ever had. Eclipses many of their Grand Cru’s. Fresh and lively.

Green herbal aromas, some flowers, presense of toasted oak which I find a signature of LJ wines. Creamy texture. Medium body and high acidity.

Very Burgundian Chardonnay, well crafted. Should develop a little bit more with age.

Les Grèves located in the Northern part of Beaune winemaking area. In French, "Grèves" means sandy, small stones, which describes the soil of these vineyards owned by LJ. Domaine label, not negociant one.

Aged 14-18 months in French barriques.

(16.5/20) Красивый аромат белой дыни, яблок, груши, лимонной мякоти с заметными тонами выдержки в дубовой бочке: жареный лесной орех; в развитии появляется нота сливочного масла. Плотное с высокой кислотностью. Во вкусе много цитрусовых с уклоном в цедру лимона, дыни и орехов. Молодое вино, в котором ещё не вполне интегрирована в аромате бочка и слегка выпирает кислотность. Требуется дальнейшая выдержка в бутылке.

Большая порция дуба, много ванили, корицы, спелые жёлтые фрукты, персики, абрикосы, апельсиновые корки, липовый цвет. Полное маслянистое тело уравновешенное высокой кислотностью. Во вкусе абрикосовые косточки, спелые фрукты. Топленное масло, фундук в долгом послевкусии. Придублено, с потенциалом. 16,5+/20
