Combe Aux Jacques Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau Gamay

Relatively inoffensive. Does the job.

Blind taste against a Bordeaux.

Not much character. No real finish.

I guess you need to spend some (bit)coin to have good French wine.

Rich fruity smell. Strawberry, cherry, spice. Smooth and medium-bodied. Pairs well with pasta and cheese. Low acidity.

Drinkable. Stones and Rose in a light nose. Orange or Granny Smith Apple, almost sour opening, sweet strawberries and oak. Lacks punch but not enjoyment.

Solid. So inexpensive.

Pretty tasty, fruity, easy to drink with an acidic finish.

Not an overwhelming scent coming from it. It has a subtle cherry flavor, but the taste overall is quite underwhelming and somewhat watered down, but also leaves your mouth a bit dry. There is an acidity that hits the back of your throat, which subsides quickly. Overall, not my favorite, but would try again.

Very drinkable and light. Pairs well with a heavy meal like pasta.

Trish says it’s like walking through a lavender field with thyme flowers.
I’m not sure that’s accurate, it’s very subtlety flavoured. She may be in influenced by the strong hand lotion she just put on.
