Tart and unbalanced. I expected this lighter style from Chassagne, but this one is a cooking wine. Sappy fruit notes courtesy of the ‘15 vintage, but nothing working together. Time or air is unlikely to help much. Pales in comparison to my standard-bearer: Hubert Lamy. TotalWine.

Opened it. It was mud. Put it away in cellar for 24 hrs with stopper. Tried it again. Still mud. Down the sink. Would never touch it again. It’s exported because the French would not drink it. Crap. Rating 0

2012 vintage drinking beautifully in 2019. Earthy well balanced. Tannins are already soft. Did not need lot of aeration- opened bottle for ~20 mins. Beautiful brick cherry color.

Tasted in 2015: Maraschino cherries, strawberries, raspberries, and subtle hints of spices, mint, and herbs. Good but not great and I expected more in this price range.

Suppressed, tight nose without aerating. May open in an hour or so. Somewhat thin.

Took a while to open up but pretty good overall. Good cherry tones with subtle finish...would be good paired with duck
