An elegant wine reminding us the with a pronounced old world funk on the nose that this is indeed a Bordeaux. Had a 2010 in Jan 2020 and decanted it for two hours. It still feels like a youth who believes they have reached maturity and are rating too go...but just needs a tiny bit more time. Nevertheless 2hours decanting did work wonders. Beautiful color with hints of mushrooms and forest floor and maybe cloves or nutmeg. Mellowed tannins on the backend with medium to low acidity. — 5 years ago
I bought it because of the interesting blend but not in love with it yet. Saw some posts saying it gets better so waiting...not sure what I was expecting but certainly didn’t get the Shiraz taste. Will give it one more go... — 5 years ago

Couple of hours of decanting needed to open up!!! But once it did it was almost like a port. Smooth, liquorice..

2012 vintage drinking beautifully in 2019. Earthy well balanced. Tannins are already soft. Did not need lot of aeration- opened bottle for ~20 mins. Beautiful brick cherry color. — 5 years ago
Easy drinking fruit forward blend!! Have had had it on an airplane and it’s amazing how in the cold temperature it’s more fruit forward on the nose then on land. 2017 is nicely rounded out with not a whole lot of tannins. — 5 years ago

Almost old world Syrah from California!! Lighter than old world but still jammy!! Beautiful color, great bouquet on the nose. Pepper, sour cherry. Tannins are well, but not fully, integrated. Still get some puckering on back end... — 5 years ago
Beautiful burgundy had it with shepherds pie!!! The minced lamb in the pie really brought out the earthy notes of an old world. On the nose I got the earthy notes followed by fruit. Subtle colored, not heavy and almost gets a sense of “sparkling” on the tongue at first taste. Opened through the night but it’s young wine not heavy so just an hour or so before open it up and enjoy — 5 years ago

2008 vintage drinking in 2020 from a historic storied winery! Purple in the glass with smooth and mellowed tannins. Vanilla, cherry, blackberry. Well balanced and does not feel high in alcohol even with 13% alcohol… — 3 years ago
