Louis Bouillot
Perle d'Ivoire Brut Blanc de Blancs Crémant de Bourgogne Chardonnay
Founded in 1877 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, a little village the heart of the Côte d’Or by Jean Bouillot, a wine and spirits merchant. A blend of Chardonnay and Aligoté from both northern & southern Burgundy. Pale yellow with fragrant aromas of stone fruit and some biscuit notes. The palate shows apple and pear flavors, lemon zest with nice texture. Tangy long finish, vivid acidity, champagne like, pleasant, ending with fresh yeast character. Tasting Sample.

Oct 7th, 2019Made from a blend of white grapes, Chardonnay and Aligoté. A crisp blanc de blanc, aromas of floral and citrus with good bubble flow. On the palate stone fruits and citrus with biscuit notes on nice mousse. Lingering ending crisp with gentle yeasty notes. Nice.

Bright green gold with white mousse and fine persistent bubbles. Fresh citrusy, pome-y nose. Baked pear and stony toast on the palate. Lingering toasty finish. Another excellent less costly alternative to Champagne from an established Côte d’Or producer, though the only one I wouldn’t put head to head. Enjoy with brunch fare or seafood dinners.
