The answer to the question: what would happen if you made Carignan like Beaujolais? Carbonic and tasty.

The wine that gives me hope for Chile. Well priced, excellent wine. Must. Buy. More.

Louis-Antoine Luyt, Burgundian ex-pat in Chile, a Marcel Lapierre protégé, makes this bright, fresh Carignan, 70 y.o. vines.

More and more enticed by Carignan, mostly for its sheer happiness of drinkability. Look no further than this easy-drinking & über-pure mix of boysenberries and blueberries of the most proper respectability!

One year ago today I was watching cows being artificially inseminated on a ranch in Patagonia. This tasted like that (the ranch).

Funk on the nose as well as ripe berries and black cherry, quite intense. Smooth mouthfeel, taste follows the nose (without the funk). A delight to drink, a stand out for sure.

Smells and tastes like horse but not too tannic. Would like to try this with food. Medium body. Lady at wine store said this was a popular pick during their wine tasting. Shrugs.
