Santa Barbara County Gamay Pinot Noir

Charmed right away by the first sniff of glossy, undeniably Californian, wild berry fruits. Reigned in nicely by a whip of acid.

Intensely floral notes of rose petal give way to huckleberry and blueberry. Subtle herbal notes suggesting whole cluster. Great POP of acid lifts the whole package. Excellent summer red.

Tart, blackberry jam on the nose. A (one) Piccolo Pete on the front mid-palate of blueberry and lavender, and ginger and pepper on the finish. Dyyyying 4 u

New Cali turned up to 10

Doesn't hold a candle to Bow & Arrow's Rhinestone of a similar blend. Started to show a bit of character after a day on the counter, so maybe some time in the bottle will add depth.

VA dominates the nose, though there's some nice whole-cluster notes underneath. Tart and a bit lean. Not as good as their Cab Francs.

Very interesting, grassy and full of character

Super grape, soft little tannin, blackberry sweet. Quaffable

Not a fan. Seemed like the gamay and pinot were having a slugfest. Very tannic.

Fun, light, fruity wine for Spring and Summer quaffing. Good value...
