I’m legit about to pop over Laurent Saillard's "POP" blend of Cab Franc & Pineau d'Aunis. It smells like a faint breeze of clean laundry, tastes like ruby red grapefruits sprinkled with salt, garnished with lime rinds & thyme, and feels like you just gulped a glass of palpable sexual tension. It has this intensely flirtatious energy to it, like you've teasing back & forth with someone all afternoon and then they pull you in close by your belt-loops & you don't know if you're going to makeout or explode, but it's most definitely both. Honestly? I could jerk off to this wine and it is currently leading the race of the official sparkling wine of the summer. Pair it with Hot Flash Heat Wave's "Dirty Dreamer (XXX)". — 7 years ago
Going through a little second fermentation in bottle but I’m into it, like rhubarb Pop Rocks stirred into some Cran-Raspberry juice. — 7 years ago
Like cannon balling from the high dive into a pool of sour strawberry Jolly Rancher Crystal Light. 🍓💦 — 7 years ago
Smelling like halved raspberries swimming in a watermelon gimlet with a sugared rim, this sparkler tastes like strawberry puree hit with Pamplemousse La Croix over limestone ice cubes and a few sprigs of thyme. It does have some RS (residual sugar) on it, but is well-balanced & comes off as juicy rather than cloying. — 7 years ago
This frizzante of Malvasia, Spergola & Moscato smells like these specific roses from my mother's garden growing up, the ones with a golden center that unfurled into a vibrant coral that spilled over the petals, with a dash of nutmeg. Much like the song, this wine has echos of Stevie Wonder, all bright & humbly bubbling with a bit of weight to it, and has notes of tangerine, gardenias & a well-worn, wool shirt with a hint of musk on it. It's so much fun, but also makes me want to nuzzle into its shoulder & give it big doe eyes. — 7 years ago
Slightly oxidized sour cherry vibes. Great served with a light chill and ribs. — 7 years ago
Long & lean like the limbs of the woman who graces the label, the "Suzanne" Mondeuse from Domaine du Cellier des Crays is a wonderfully sensual late afternoon red. It smells like brambly, ripe, late summer raspberries bloomed into dark red roses with cinnamon pistils in a dense fog of pine. It tastes dank & fresh, like strawberry blunts rolled with bites of crisp apple stowed in a cedar box. "Suzanne" inspires swaying hips & long, passionate stares like Astrud Gilberto's "So Nice (Samba de Verão)." — 7 years ago
Smells like ripe cranberry, red currant & a stick of cinnamon gum have been smushed into the wet asphalt of Quai de Gesvres by a slightly new pair of Vans Authentic low tops, and tastes like I am Owen Wilson's character in Midnight in Paris. — 7 years ago
TRULY SCRUMTRULESCENT, TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS & FLORESCENT. Smells like the warm filling of strawberry Pop Tarts got stuffed into the centers of cold raspberries & rolled around in coarse salt, and tastes like an electric sea of cranberry & raspberry splashing onto a shore of crisp rose petals. LIKE I SAID, GOD DAMN SCRUMTRULESCENT. — 7 years ago
